BSP's art in action.
'Fluttering Colours' art performance for galleries and art spaces.
In "Fluttering Colours" BSP explores the impacts of climate change through the lens of the monarch butterfly, whose migrations are increasingly threatened by rising temperatures and extreme weather. This multimedia performance merges live painting, singing, and video projections to immerse audiences in the butterfly's journey, paralleling it with the broader issues of climate migration and environmental degradation.
Drawing inspiration from contemporary artists like Olafur Eliasson, who addresses the intersection of nature and human perception, and Bill Viola, whose video art reflects life’s cyclical transformation, BSP’s performance takes the audience on a multisensory experience. As the artwork evolves on stage, synchronising with the music and visuals, abstract and representational forms emerge, capturing the fragile beauty of nature and the urgency of environmental preservation.
Much like Tania Bruguera’s politically engaged works, Fluttering Colours invites the audience to become active participants in a conversation about climate change. It encourages a shift in perception, urging viewers to rethink their relationship with the environment and one another. The performance’s fusion of sound, painting, and technology echoes the works of Rirkrit Tiravanija, Zhao Liang, and Theaster Gates, artists who engage their audiences in discussions of migration, environmentalism, and collective action.
Through this dynamic and innovative approach, Fluttering Colours transforms art into a powerful social experiment, inviting viewers to feel, reflect, and act on the pressing global issues of our time.
'Losing Your Ears' live show for clubs.
Performing with her custom-built "canvas orchestra" (four interactive canvases programmed to respond to sound and touch) she creates a live symphony of music and visuals. Each movement and vocal layer activates a dynamic interplay of sound and colour, transforming the performance space into a living instrument.
Unlike her gallery-based performances, this show is designed for music venues and clubs, reshaping the traditional concert format into a multisensory journey. The setlist features BSP’s original songs (available on Spotify and streaming platforms) reimagined through this unique audiovisual setup. Inspired by the experimental spirit of Laurie Anderson and the sensory interplay of Ryoji Ikeda, Losing Your Ears challenges the audience to experience sound beyond just hearing. Echoing the immersive performances of artists like FKA Twigs, Björk, and Arca, the show creates a world where music is not only felt but seen, touched, and reshaped in real-time.
Losing Your Ears is an invitation to experience music differently, to step inside sound, lose yourself in colour, and rediscover the limits of perception.
