Hear the colours, experience the art through performances
About the artist.
Bri’s creative journey is fueled by synesthesia. She doesn’t just hear music, she sees it. Sound becomes colour, shaping the way she creates and performs. Growing up, Bri often felt overwhelmed by the mental health struggles in her family. Synesthesia became her escape, a way to turn chaos into something beautiful. Today, it’s her way of challenging perception itself. Her work is not simply about music or painting; it’s about reshaping how we experience reality.
In galleries and art spaces, her performances are social experiments in perception. They invite audiences to step beyond their usual sensory boundaries, to see sound, feel colour, and engage with art in a completely new way. Inspired by pioneers like John Cage and Meredith Monk, Bri explores the role of the audience, not as mere observers, but as active participants in a shared, immersive experience.
Her live shows take this fusion into clubs and music venues, where her custom-built electronic set (four interconnected canvases that react to sound) transforms into a dynamic instrument. From the Venice Biennale to Tate Modern, to her documentary The Blending of Senses on Sky Arts, BSP’s work blurs the lines between sound, vision, and interaction.
Her performances are more than just art, they are social experiments in perception and empathy. Bri’s goal is to help people step outside their usual way of experiencing the world and embrace an alternative vision.
